2014 Tempranillo, Tierra Alta Vineyard, Ballard Canyon

New Release

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 101, Estella Vineyard, Los Olivos District

This Tempranillo comes from Tierra Alta Vineyard, located on top of Ballard Canyon.

Our Tempranillo leads with boysenberries, raspberries, and brown spices on the nose. The full-bodied mouthfeel features dark fruits with dried cherries, fig, and spice. The length brings in an earthy feel, with hints of plum jam, cedar, and tobacco.

We are choosing to pair our Tempranillo with Paella for a brilliant eating experience, but it will pair wonderfully with any tomato based or spicy food. Stop by the winery to try our Tempranillo with a meat and cheese plate and enjoy it with our Campo de Montalban.

Cheese of the Month

Grana PadanoCampo de Montalban; Spain- cows', sheep's, and goats' milk

A semi-firm cheese from La Mancha, Spain, Campo de Montalban resembes a manchego. Manchego is a sheep's milk cheese, while Campo de Montalban is made with a three-milk blend.

The cheese exhibits characteristics of all 3 milks, tasting rich and buttery with a perfectly balanced finish.

Manchego and Tempranillo is a classic pairing, but we think this relative of manchego pairs even better with our Taylor Noelle Tempranillo.
