On the South side of Sta. Rita Hills, west of the Santa Rosa Road. This vineyard lies at the top of hill slope overlooking the entire valley. This was a drought year which reduced production and limited vigor. This results in more concentrated, smaller berries. Normal production in this vineyard is about 2-3 tons per acre while in 2014 it was closer to 1.5-2 tons per acre.
Hand sorted, the grapes were immediately crushed and de-stemmed. An extensive cold soak was used for extraction and color stabilization. After press, the wine was placed into French Oak at a 34% New Oak level and aged for 32 months.
